Crisis in ZamZam IDP Camp: Urgent Call for Solidarity and Action
Sudan’s ongoing conflict has plunged millions into a humanitarian crisis, affecting families and communities across the nation. In recent months, the situation has escalated dramatically in ZamZam Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp, located in El Fasher, North Darfur. The camp, once a place of relative displacement, became the scene of a violent attack that forced thousands to flee in search of safety in surrounding areas.
Those who remain face unimaginable hardship.
Families are living without access to healthcare, safe water, or sanitation. Children are suffering from acute malnutrition, while pregnant and lactating women endure severe health conditions with no medical support. The needs are urgent, and the conditions are deteriorating by the day.
In response, Goodwills Relief International has taken swift action, working remotely in collaboration with local community leaders. Despite the logistical and security challenges, we successfully coordinated a meal distribution at ZamZam IDP Camp, ensuring that the most vulnerable received at least one nourishing meal in this time of desperate need.
But this is just the beginning.
We urgently call on humanitarian partners, donors, and the international community to stand with ZamZam IDPs. Together, we can provide:

- Basic healthcare and medical support
- Water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services
